Benchmarking and Establishing Product Specifications:
In this session, various types of benchmarking and the need for the same was discussed with various practical examples. Students learned how to convert the voice of customers to engineering specifications for product design. Furthermore, students practiced these techniques by applying on their ongoing YEB projects. This session was volunteered by NVC volunteers.
Then there was a session on Journey of NeoMotion: Living life to the fullest by Mr. Swostik Dash, Co-founder of NeoMotion.
Students, after having lunch, went to EEE labs where a hand on session was conducted in the communication lab. A live demonstration of traffic light signals and Counter systems was shown to the participants. Students were given logic gate ICs to perform small projects on breadboards. Dr. Sudeep Baudha and Dr. Naveen Gupta, associate professors from the EEE dept led the students for this fun-filled learning experience.In addition, a talk on evolution of cellular standards from 1G to 5G was delivered. Students were also informed about the electronics and communications related startups in India.
All the YEB participants were then led to BITS Goa Library. The Library is fully computerized, and the catalog of books and other resources is available online from any place through the campus network. This network enables one to reserve the books one might need as well as to check the status pertaining to the issue and return of books. The online Library Management System affords the students the ease of navigating the Library resources from the intimacy of their hostel rooms.

Lastly ,students were taken to the cricket ground where they had a fantastic Astronomy/ Sky Gazing Session.SEDS CELESTIA volunteers showed the gazing sky and captured some beautiful images of stars and moon. “Smell the sea and feel the sky, Let your soul and spirit fly.” – Van Morrison.
